I have been seeing Sandra Lewis off and on for over a year in a half. Sandra is kind, understanding, and a great listener. She really helps me to see things from a different perspective. I like that I am able to just put the good, the bad and very ugly on the table and be met without judgement. It allows me to be able to work on the things that I am struggling with. The sessions I have with Sandra gives me hope to be able to move forward.

What a fiasco! After scheduling an appointment 3 weeks out, the day before the first appointment, I was rescheduled for an additional 3 more weeks out. When the day of the second appointment finally arrived I discovered they had the wrong email address for me and I was not receiving the link to login for the session. As a result, I was not able to download the Microsoft Teams App in advance and the link through the browser did not work. I was unable to turn on my mic or camera.. I am pretty technically savvy and her staff was very condescending asking if the laptop I was using has a camera and microphone, which would have been a good question 20 years ago. Now in the age of mini computers called smart phones, most devices operating on today's systems have video chat features like a camera and microphone. I digress. Ms. Lewis comes on the phone line to complete the series of questions included in the intake, but it's now 20 minutes into the one hour session and again I'm asked about rescheduling. After already being thoroughly frustrated, then insulted, I grew immediately upset, disappointed, and discouraged because I waited for over a month to begin to get some insight and direction on how to help my son, and here we are on the day and still no help or progress. I began to sob without explanation other than, "I need help." After trying to hold it together for months, I was highly emotional and discouraged. This must have convinced Ms. Lewis that she definitely didn't want to work with our family and suggested I sign up for a standard parenting class offered to parents going through custody and divorce cases. I am not going through such a case. Then she pretended like she was talking to another therapist who would have "more availability" to see us as needed. She gave me the referral to someone that she pretended to speak to during the 30 minutes before the office even opened and who has yet to return my call after two business days. Ms. Lewis and her staff are incompetent with horrible bedside manner, she lacks empathy, and seems to only want to see patients that don't need counseling. She conducts intake sessions online with a faulty platform, the intake questions could have been sent and returned ahead of time making the appointment more efficient, and should provide contact information for technical difficulties in the text messages. Now after over 6 weeks I am back at square one, trying to find a therapist that could relate to my preteen, who offers in-person sessions (even if in 30 min increments like Ms. Lewis requires), and someone who accepts insurance that is not medicaid! I do not recommend this place or Ms. Lewis.
