⭐ 1/5 I had an extremely unprofessional experience with Delta employee John Paul Gomez during check-in. While assisting us, he answered a personal phone call and threw our IDs on the counter, one sliding behind the desk so we had to reach to retrieve it. He then accused me of calling him an “idiot,” which I never did. When I asked how to reduce the weight of our bags (52 and 53 lbs), he dismissively said “figure it out,” grabbed the bag, and forced me to take it back to avoid paying for two bags. Despite traveling with these same bags from Atlanta to Boston to Spain and back with no issues, he still charged $100 for one bag. He also left midway to help another employee, leaving us waiting. As a long-time Delta customer and credit card holder, I was shocked by this level of rudeness and dismissiveness. This experience was completely unacceptable, and I hope Delta addresses it promptly — no one should be treated this way.
