Parent review time :) I could not be happier with where my son chose to go for his flight training. From the fleet, to the quality of instruction, to the airspace they fly in for priceless real world experience, to the program, to all the people involved that make this flight school what it is, I couldn’t recommend it high enough. My son was 18 when he started and as a parent from a small town I was a little nervous about him moving to such a big city. We had some travel issues on the way there, leaving him without a car for a week until we could get a rental. In the time being, his roommates (complete strangers) really stepped up and helped him get to and from school and the apartments are close enough to the airport he could walk safely if he needed to. I followed his progress from afar and can say that he had some top notch CFI’s that really encouraged him and lifted him up. Thrust Flight really lives the old Irish adage of always reaching back and helping the next one in line. For that, I thank them from the bottom of my mama heart. Fast forward, he is now an instructor at Thrust and I am seeing another side of the organization and it’s just as great. I couldn’t be more proud and am eternally grateful for everyone at the school that has helped him achieve his dreams, so he can help others achieve theirs. I’ve seen from the outside in, how small the aviation community is, and how important it is to form long lasting relationships. You’ll find a tight knit community at Thrust to do this with. And if you’re a parent considering this school for your just graduated kiddo, rest easy, they are in good hands.

From the moment I started at Thrust Flight, I knew I was in the right place. The professionalism, structure, and commitment to student success are evident in every part of the program. From ground school to flight training, the instructors are not only knowledgeable but genuinely invested in helping you succeed. Beyond the outstanding training, what truly sets Thrust apart is the community. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing people and build lifelong friendships with fellow students, instructors, and admin. The fleet is modern, well maintained, and have A/C! The maintenance team works hard to ensure the planes are safe and ready to fly. We also have some of the best dispatchers in the industry who make sure students are consistently flying. I recently completed my Certified Flight Instructor certificate through Thrust Flight, and I couldn’t be more proud of the training I received. If you’re serious about a career in aviation and want to train in a focused, supportive environment Thrust Flight is where you want to be.

I had the privilege of training with Hayden Hayes for my CFI, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout the entire process. Hayden knows how to break down complex concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand, and he genuinely cares about his students’ success. I felt fully prepared and confident going into my checkride thanks to his guidance. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to become a strong and confident pilot

Highly recommend this place to get exceptional training and a unique experience at a busier airport under Class B airspace. You get so much exposure early on with a CFI instead of training at a smaller airport with few people around and then going to your first busy airspace by yourself. Your comms will be way better, you'll experience a ton of realistic scenarios (talking to approach, wake turbulence, traffic and spacing) and you're close to the practice area with plenty of controlled and uncontrolled airports to practice on. Not to say there aren't frustrations, especially when you get stuck on a skill, but talking to your instructor and coming up with a way to mix things up or deciding on a break to clear your head really helped. The staff is patient and professional. They want you to have a great experience. The biggest thing you want out of your training school is to feel safe and to get the best possible training for your money and Thrust is it. I started in the 172s and when the Archers came in I switched about halfway to get experience with both planes (and the AC definitely helped in the summer). They really do work hard to continue improving the school so if something is on your mind that's not working for you, talk to them. Everyone from scheduling to maintenance is there for you and your training.

I highly enjoyed my time at thrust. The planes are brand new, the airspace is perfect to gain experience, there are many great instructors, and it's in the perfect area for having fun in your downtime. I'd recommend Thrust to anyone who wants to become a pilot quickly or needs financing for their flight school.
