I had the pleasure of taking a kayak ecotour with Suzanne and The Nature Bus. I highly recommend The Nature Bus for anyone who wants to learn about nature and have fun doing it. Suzanne is a highly professional owner who cares about her business and her customers/clients. She goes the extra step to ensure everyone is satisfied and has a good time. Our kayak guide, James, was very knowledgeable about the area and gave a history and explanation of the ecology of the James River and the surrounding water ways. On the actual kayak paddle he explained the different plant and animal life that we encountered. Again, I highly recommend Suzanne and The Nature Bus and plan on taking other excursions in the future. You will not be disappointed.

What an incredible adventure! I joined The Nature Bus today with my husband for a birding expedition on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, led by Suzanne Moss and tour guide James Abbott. The tour was beautifully organized from start to finish — we even stopped in charming Cape Charles for a lovely lunch. Even though I’m not a birding expert, I enjoyed every minute of the experience. Suzanne and James made it fun, informative, and welcoming for everyone, regardless of skill level. The group was so friendly and helpful, and the entire day was filled with laughter, learning, and beautiful sights. I highly recommend The Nature Bus for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Virginia in such a thoughtful and enjoyable way! My only regret is that I did not do a tour sooner. My wife and I went on the kayak tour today and had a blast. The tour was well run and fun. The bus was extremely very clean and neat. Everything was explained very well and any questions answered. James (the Naturalist) and his team explained many things about the bird, plants and fish and made it very enjoyable. The brew pub at the end was the icing on the cake. We are planning to take more Nature Tours on the bus in the near future. It's well worth it.

I had the best time on a kayak trip with the Nature Bus. Suzanne and James obviously LOVE adventure, and shared their enthusiasm with us all! It was great to share the day with people of shared interests. Most of us began as strangers, and ended as friends. I will definitely return. Thank you for a memorable experience!

With the summer approaching, I was searching for a summer camp for our 3 year old, we found the nature bus and the amazing thinkergarten summer camp opportunity. The nature bus is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature while creating meaningful and unforgettable memories with your little ones as well as to build friendships and network with other parents. From an amazing trip to the First Landing Park, followed by many age appropriate STEAM activities, to a relax tea party/break, the nature bus will keep your little ones busy exploring nature and building interpersonal skills and relationships.
