If it weren't for the Southwest check-in agent at Richmond, I would have gone home at 10 pm instead of 6 pm. When I was checking in a bag at the counter, we both noticed that the plane was going to be late, and I could very well miss my connecting flight, so the agent immediately went to work to find the fastest alternative route, and that was the one with two stops and getting home at 10 pm. It was better than waiting 'til the next day, so I took it. When I went to the boarding area, I received a call from the same agent telling me that the flight just might be getting little earlier than expected, although still late by about 25 minutes. However, it's just enough to make my connecting flight in Nashville. He immediately went to work to revert back my travel plan to the original one, and locate my bag to retag it. Thanks to such an excellent customer service by Southwest, I made home by 6 pm!! wish I had his name. He was the only Southwest check-in agent at RIC working around 12:20 pm on August 15, 2025, Friday.

Great trip out of Richmond via southwest. We had a flight delay on the return trip. There was a plane already in our gate when we arrived but Southwest diverted us to another gate to deboard instead of making us wait. Flight attendants were very nice and helpful. Plane was a little older so didn't have the headrests that adjusted but there was a nice amount of room between seat rows.

I came to Virginia from Denver for a 5 day trip to spend time with my girlfriend. My bag was somehow left in Denver. This negatively impacted my trip greatly. The customer service line was very nice and did what they could. The airport staff were amazing promptly reimbursed me for the clothes and other items I had to buy. I didn't get my bag until the day before I was leaving but they did deliver it to me.

Can't stand the pressure of calling to sign in for a good boarding zone/unassigned seating, but can't beat the affordable flights. Some of the connecting flights seem weird depending on where you are going as well, but again good prices
