I had to relocate my 85 year old Aunt with dementia from Suffolk NY to Tampa Fl and I used GOMO travel to help us with this process. I couldn't have asked for a better team of people to assist my Aunt and get her to her new home. From the very beginning they where helpful and compassionate to our needs. They understood the possible issues someone with dementia may cause during a long plane ride, as well as my aunt had an old license but without Real ID. They had a plan and gave us the itinerary which include car service and flight info. Traci who was my aunt's companion for the trip was excellent and she kept in contact with us every step of the way even texted us pictures that had my aunt smiling through the entire journey. They got my Aunt to the new Memory Care facility before noon that day and she was happy and in good spirits. If you need to move a loved one with dementia or alzheimers go with GOMO Travel. From the start you will feel confident that they care about your loved one, and know what needs to be done to get them to a new destination. Melissa was great helping to put the plan in place. I had to relocate my 86 year old uncle From a facility in Washington DC to Texas so that I could better care for him. GOMO made the process seamless. Coordinated with the facilities at both ends arranged pickup and drop off as well as the airfare. I barely had to lift a finger. Amber, our travel nurse was fantastic. overall, this was an exceptional experience and I would highly recommend GOMO if you have to help your loved ones travel.

I highly recommend the team at Gomo Travel. Randy and Melisa were extra helpful in building us a proper quote and getting everything prepared. The travel nurse, Amber, gave us frequent updates on the day of travel and did a wonderful job getting our Dad from Florida to Texas. For the price of this type of service I feel that Gomo provided a great value and went above and beyond expectations.

I rarely write on-line reviews, but I am very compelled to write one for GOMO Travel. If you are in need of transport services for an elderly loved one with dementia and mobility needs, please consider using their services. Our family needed to transport our mother from a facility in a New England state to another facility in a Mid-Atlantic state. I investigated the services of 6 land transport service companies. However, I had concerns about many of their less-than-positive reviews. When the subject of flying our mother to her new facility was discussed, the reaction of our family was "NO WAY. It could be a disaster. What if there was a problem, and they had to turn the plane around? There is no way Mom can fly." However, after consulting multiple times with Melisa and Kerri (the owner), our very reluctant family was SOLD on their services. Kerri answered every question thoroughly, and Melisa is an expert at making the arrangements. The plans were as follows: Mom would be met at her New England facility with a travel nurse/companion and a wheelchair van and be transported to the airport. The travel nurse/companion (along with airline staff) would assist with moving our mother into her first class seat on the airplane using a special procedure. The travel nurse/companion would also accompany our mother in a wheelchair van from the airport to her new facility. Tracy was Mom's travel nurse/companion. She was top-notch. Due to issues with the airline, our mother's flight was delayed by four hours! This was not the fault of GOMO travel. In fact, they tried to find alternate flight arrangements, but it turned out the original plan had to be followed. Tracy kept our mother engaged and calm. She regularly texted our mother's family members with updates and pictures. Our mother arrived safely to her new facility. We think she may have even enjoyed the travel experience! For someone with dementia to exhibit a rather happy demeanor, that really says something positive about the experience. GOMO Travel is highly recommended.

GOMO Travel was spectacular from the first time I interacted with them to the last time of interaction!! My sister Yvette 84 years old with dementia was moved by plane from California to Arizona then arriving in Arizona Yvette was driven three hours by car to her new residency. GOMO was efficient, accurate in details and professional at all times. Yvette's travel companion Carrie was friendly and caring to Yvette. Carrie kept us in contact throughout the different stages of the trip. This in itself kept us comfortable to know that Yvette was in good hands.
