This Patagonia trek was a belated indulgence, perhaps... During the glacier trek, I bowed and bent, following the wind's lead, and climbed, enjoying the refreshing taste of icebergs and meltwater in the cold. I was determined not to let myself fall asleep in my cold tent nestled at the foot of a snow-covered mountain, but I was surprised to find myself sleeping soundly, listening to the wind and rain. The high mountains are white, but along the path, beautiful spring flowers were laden with yellow, red, and other colors, trying to push away winter. The next day, I spent the night up the snow-covered mountain path, waking up at 2 a.m. with headlamps on my forehead, guided only by the footsteps of those ahead of me, sighing in agony. On the final day, our guide, Director Jang, generously treated us to a dinner of Chilean king crab and a rare abalone dish, a joyful and hearty ending to the arduous hike. This trip was an exciting luxury, a chance to really practice self-discipline at a late age. It was possible because I was with you all… So, thank you to everyone who joined us.
