My husband and I booked a whale watching tour as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! We were in a small group of 6 + the guide, which provided the chance for lots of questions and answers with the guide, lots of space to relax on the boat, and a very personalized experience. It was a gorgeous day on the water and we say about a dozen whales, even a few babies! Our guide was able to identify the whales by their tales and share stories and facts about the whales, which was so cool. He gave us local recommendations for food, hiking, and things to see, and even shared about native Alaskan art and the local Juneau culture. He also took us to see an island where a bunch of sea lions congregate and we saw a few otters. The tour company provided snacks, drinks, and even a bathroom on-board, which was wonderful. Fully recommend booking with Alaska Galore Tours and when we come back to Juneau, we will absolutely do another tour.

Captain Mandy and naturalist, Chloe, made our whale watching tour absolutely incredible! They were both knowledgeable and went above and beyond to see as many whales and local wildlife as possible. Pictures sure don’t do it justice. If you’re considering an independent charter, book here!

We had an AMAZING and incredible experience with Chloe, Tess, and John. We went out on choppy water but felt very safe. You could tell they love whales and their enthusiasm and joy was infectious. We saw a whale breaching whale so close to the boat it was the highlight of our whole week in Alaska! We also found it so fun they identify the whales. We also saw eagle glacier! They also shared all their professional grade photos with us, huge bonus! Best excursion we went on :)

Great whale watching and lighthouse tour. Saw lots of whales and watched as they "Bubble Netted" fish - 9 or 10 whales working together to trap the fish. They all surface together with their mouths wide open to scoop in the school of fish. Very dramatic and very cool to watch. One of their crew took pictures and shared key pictures with us no charge. Really nice touch as most passengers had only their phones for pictures and the whales were too far away for cell phone pictures. Great crew and nicely done. The only hitch was we were staying locally and told to meet them at the Statter Harbor doc. The bus driver that had picked up the cruise ship passengers was supposed to pick us up there and take us to the dock where the boat was to take off. But the bus driver forgot us and so they had to send another employee to pick us up. It all worked out and we had a great day.

Oh my goodness! What a day we had!!! We saw (estimated) 20 humpback whales. They were doing bubble net feedings. It was incredible! Also saw stellar sea lions, and Dall’s porpoises. Also made a stop at the Mendenhall Glacier. I can not recommend enough!!
